The Tomb Robber

A 500-word fantasy TTRPG adventure for the 500 Word Jam. It’s system agnostic though formatted most closely for Old School Essentials or other games based upon the 1980 TSR fantasy roleplaying game.

Mundar the Custodian had just unlocked the last of the mausoleums for the annual ritual of veneration when an anguished cry rent the evening air. Collapsed in the open entrance to the tomb of the hero, Alfgar Spearlord, is the boy, Godwin. A flame-bladed dagger protrudes from his back, a gash across his chest. Before he dies, Godwin mentions three things: Alfgar's spear, a Stranger, and, Bertric, his brother. Mundar entreats you: enter the tomb, stop the stranger, and rescue Bertric.
