And now a d20 variant!

After uploading the original document yesterday, I posted about it in a few places and some folks from 5E/d20 fantasy games got ahold of it and had a bit of trouble with it, mostly due to the absence of skill modifiers. I thought that it was pretty easy to work that in but, rather than write comments to that effect, I figured it might be easier just to quickly write up a d20 variant of the thing. So I did.
The only change is that I flipped the player rolls from six-sided dice to twenty-sided dice and added a note that a player could add their skill proficiency bonus (ie. whatever the modifier they add to their dice when testing a skill, +2, +5 etc.) to their rolls.
You might notice that the base chance in this version is 5% rather than 16ish % in the original version. This is because I am baking in the initial +2 proficiency bonuses that are likely to occur. Also, setting a twenty as the target is just cleaner and cooler than 18 or whatever. Of course, you are free to slide that target to whatever number works best for your table.
Game on!
